To so bili tudi ...začetki oblikovanja andragogike kot samostojne znanstvene discipline v Sloveniji. Razvoj izobraževanja odraslih pa se v Sloveniji ni začel šele takrat. Bil je odvisen od organizacij, združenj in institucij, delujočih na področju izobraževanja odraslih, od družbenih razmer in okoliščin, pobud in zgledov, upravnih in političnih struktur ter odločevalcev, strokovnih in drugih srečanj ter posvetov, projektov in akcij, gibanj in usmeritev, koncepcij in stališč zavzetih in dovolj razgledanih posameznikov. Navedeni vplivi so delovali pospeševalno, pa tudi zaviralno, o čemer razpravljamo v pričujočem prispevku.
This book covers the full story of the Ustasha, a fascist movement in Croatia, from its historic roots to its downfall. The authors address key questions: In what international context did Ustasha ...terrorism grow and develop? How did this movement rise to power, and then exterminate hundreds of thousands of innocents? Who was Ante Pavelić, its leader? Was he a shrewd politician, able to exploit for his independent project Mussolini’s imperial ambitions, Hitler’s pan-German aims, and the anti-Bolshevism of the Holy See and the Western bloc? Or was he, consciously or not, a pawn in other hands, in a complex international scenario where Croatia was only arena among many? And after the movement’s collapse, how were several of the most prominent Ustasha leaders able to evade capture by Tito’s victorious army? Michelle L. Stefano is a Folklife Specialist (Research and Programs) at the American Folklife Center of the Library of Congress, Washington, DC. From 2011-2016, Stefano worked for Maryland Traditions, the folklife program of the state of Maryland, of which she was its Co-Director from 2015-2016. From 2012-2016, she led the partnership between Maryland Traditions and the University of Maryland, Baltimore County, where she was Visiting Assistant Professor in American Studies. She co-edited Safeguarding Intangible Cultural Heritage (2012) with Peter Davis and Gerard Corsane.
Peter Davis is Emeritus Professor of Museology in the International Centre for Cultural and Heritage Studies at Newcastle University, UK. He is honorary editor of Archives of Natural History , the journal of the Society for the History of Natural History, and a series editor for Heritage Matters . His research interests include the interactions between nature, culture and concepts of place and space. He has published widely on ecomuseums and intangible cultural heritage.

novih modaliteta onkološkog liječenja. Ove činjenice nameću imperativ stvaranja onkološke mreže koja bi kao
zadatak imala standardiziranje onkološkog liječenja i osiguravanje dostupnosti novih modaliteta liječenja za sve
oboljele od zloćudnih bolesti, neovisno o njihovom mjestu boravka.¹ Hrvatska već ima prepoznate i definirane
regionalne onkološke centre u sklopu kliničkih bolničkih centara u Zagrebu, Rijeci, Osijeku i Splitu. Nasreću, u
Hrvatskoj postoji tradicija, stara nekoliko desetljeća, razvoja onkoloških centara u općim i županijskim bolnicama.

During World War II, Croatia became a fascist state under the control of the Ustasha Movement - allied with Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. Here, Goran Miljan examines and analyzes for the first time ...the ideology, practices, and international connections of the Ustasha Youth organization. The Ustasha Youth was an all-embracing fascist youth organization, established in July 1941 by the `Independent State of Croatia' with the goal of reeducating young people in the model of an ideal `new' Croat. This youth organization attempted to set in motion an all-embracing, totalitarian national revolution which in reality consisted of specific interconnected, mutually dependent practices: prosecution, oppression, mass murder, and the Holocaust - all of which were officially legalized within a month of the regime's accession to power. To this end education, sport, manual work and camping took place in specially established Ustasha Youth Schools. In order to justify their radical policies of youth reeducation, the Ustasha Youth, besides emphasizing national character and the importance of cultural and national purity, also engaged in transnational activities and exchanges, especially with the Hlinkova mladez Hlinka Youth of the Slovak Republic. Both youth organizations were closely modelled after the youth organizations in Nazi Germany and Fascist Italy. This is a little studied part of the history of World War II and of Fascism, and will be essential reading for scholars of Central Europe and the Holocaust.
Aktualni proces pristupanja Hrvatske Organizaciji za ekonomsku suradnju i razvoj (OECD) jedinstvena je prilika za opis djelovanja ove međunarodne organizacije u području zdravstva te pregled ...predviđenih implikacija za hrvatski zdravstveni sustav. Pregled se posebno osvrće na rad OECD-a u području pokazatelja kvalitete, sigurnosti i ishoda zdravstvene zaštite te je zasnovan na znanstvenoj i sivoj literaturi kao i višegodišnjem iskustvu autora u radu s OECD-om. OECD je prepoznat po svojim naporima u prikupljanju i analizi podataka i izvještavanju o zdravstvenoj kvaliteti, sigurnosti i ishodima na globalnoj razini. Rad OECD-a u području zdravstva uključuje komparativnu analiza podataka, procjenu kvalitete zdravstvene skrbi u zemljama članicama, mjerenje ishoda zdravstvene skrbi te analizu učinkovitosti i pravednosti zdravstvenih sustava. Implikacije za hrvatski zdravstveni sustav u svjetlu pristupnog procesa mnogostruke su i odnose se na zdravstveni sustav, ustanove, zdravstvene djelatnike kao i pacijente. U ovom procesu prije, ali i nakon pristupa OECD-u, pridržavajući se međunarodnih standarda, učeći iz najboljih praksi i poboljšavajući podatkovnu kulturu, Hrvatska može raditi na postizanju bolje kvalitete zdravstvene skrbi, poboljšanih zdravstvenih ishoda i učinkovitijeg zdravstvenog sustava. U ovom je procesu važno da se kreatori politike (engl. policy-makers) i dionici u Hrvatskoj pozabave izazovima koji se mogu pojaviti tijekom ovog procesa kako bi se osigurala uspješna tranzicija u članstvo u OECD-u i povezane koristi za zdravstveni sektor.
