O cenário da pandemia de Covid-19 estimulou a exposição de músicos em lives musicais. Artistas que já se faziam presentes em plataformas de streaming e em mídias sociais digitais buscaram espaço com ...vistas a superar a exigência de distanciamento social. O artigo observa a intrínseca relação entre o campo da música e os processos de midiatização e propõe-se a examinar como ocorre a inserção da música regional gaúcha em algumas das transmissões de maior audiência no período no streaming. Analisa-se especificamente o fenômeno de uma canção reconhecida como pertencente a uma identidade específica, a partir da relação entre letra e sonoridade, e sua divulgação a partir de memes para audiências desterritorializadas. Constata-se que, a partir do linguajar de zombaria em temas já tratados pela narrativa mítica, a vertente musical galponeira assumida na canção manifesta o desprezo por formas cultas e críticas de expressão musical, e conquista tanto audiências regionais como nichos regionalistas nacionais. Seu êxito expressa a busca catártica de superação da asfixia social determinada pelo contexto da pandemia. Midiatização; Música regional gaúcha; Música Popular; Grotesco.
A novel porous organic polymer containing porphyrin units was synthesized and decorated with copper to produce the metallated POP, Cu-TriPOP. The native POP, Nat-TriPOP and metal-decorated Cu-TriPOP ...exhibited BET surface areas of 595 m2/g and 373 m2/g, respectively. Excellent thermal stability up to 300 °C was observed by thermogravimetric analysis. Transmission electron microscopy (TEM) showed a sea urchin/bush-like morphology. The metal-decorated POP, Cu-TriPOP, was evaluated in the oxidation of veratryl alcohol and other related substrates. Excellent catalytic performance was achieved with conversions of around 80%. The addition of ascorbic acid, a well-known radical scavenger, significantly reduced the activity, suggesting that a radical mechanism is most likely operative. In addition, excellent catalyst recovery and recyclability were achieved for up to five cycles with minimal decrease in activity.

Nesta pesquisa, de caráter qualitativo, objetivamos apresentar as construções feitas por 11 sujeitos pertencentes ao fandom ARMY sobre os significados do “ser fã” presentes em suas vivências. Através ...da realização e análise de entrevistas semiestruturadas, obtivemos três categorias que traduziram suas representações: Afetos, Transformação e Identificação. Percebemos que as falas indicam um apoio desses sujeitos no grupo pelos afetos que os une, estando relacionados tanto ao fandom quanto ao artista. Assim, tem-se o sentimento de pertencimento e acolhimento, que perpassam as identificações entre indivíduos, constituindo o que conhecemos enquanto comunidade e que se desenvolve visando uma transformação social.
Inspired by the recent success of buckling‐induced reconfigurable structures, a new class of deployable systems that harness buckling of curved beams upon a rotational input is proposed. First, ...experimental and numerical methods are combined to investigate the influence of the beam's geometric parameters on its non‐linear response. Then, it is shown that a wide range of deployable architectures can be realized by combining curved beams. Finally, the proposed principles are used to build deployable furniture such as tables and lamp shades that are flat/compact for transportation and storage, require simple or no assembly, and can be expanded by applying a simple rotational input.
Buckling of curved beams upon a rotational input is utilized to design and fabricate reconfigurable structures. Through numerical simulations, key geometric parameters governing the non‐linear response of the beams are identified. The results are applied to realize deployable furniture that are flat/compact for transportation and storage and can be deployed into functional shapes by applying a simple rotational input.

It is a successful means to control plant rot disease and it ...leads to fundamental effects on the physiology of the host, as Silicone and Glutathione use in as induced resistance agent hostile to Fusarium solani causal agent of Broad bean root rot disease .The results of this study appeared that Silicone and Glutathione application have make less root tot incidence and severity in Broad bean plants and increase resistance-Linked enzymes Action of Peroxidase (POD) Polyphenol Oxidase (PPO) superoxide dismutase (SOD ) and Total Phenols (TP) in Broad bean infected roots with F. solani treated with Silicone and Glutathione. This indicates the ability of silicon and glutathione to induce resistance against fungus in bean plants by increasing the activity of polyphenol oxidase, peroxidase, and superoxide enzymes. These results are promising for the use of silicon and glutathione to control root rot infection of broad bean caused by F. solani.
Pop culture, a culture produced in a commercial ecosystem, is often interpreted as a light, contemporary, and fun culture so that it is easily accepted and enjoyed by the public, especially ...teenagers. Korean Pop Culture, for example, extends its influence throughout the world, not only in Indonesia. K-pop has attracted the sympathy of young people, including Muslim youth at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri (MAN) 2 Ponorogo. This study examines the perception of Muslim youth at Madrasah Aliyah Negeri 2 Ponorogo on Korean Pop Culture and its impact on Muslim youth at the school. This research uses a descriptive qualitative research method by purposively selecting research subjects, namely Muslim youth students of MAN 2 Ponorogo who love Korean pop culture. This study shows that, firstly, the Muslim youth of man 2 Ponorogo perceives Korean Pop Culture as a symbol of novelty, trending, unique, colorful, combining various elements. Secondly, the Muslim youth of MAN 2 Ponorogo realize Korean Pop Culture has a positive and negative impact, which can eliminate Korean Pop Culture products that are not relevant to their identity as millennial teenagers and Indonesian Muslims.
Although common in pediatric airway equipment, positive-pressure relief (“pop-off”) valves are also present on some adult resuscitator bags. These valves are designed to decrease barotrauma but, in ...doing so, limit the airway pressure provided during manual bag-assisted ventilation. In critically ill adult patients with high airway pressures, these valves can be detrimental and result in hypoventilation and subsequent hypoxemia.
In the 7 days after an unannounced introduction of new resuscitator bags with pop-off valves in the emergency department, there were 3 adult patients for whom an open pop-off valve resulted in hypoventilation and hypoxemia. These cases involved both medical and traumatic pathologies. In each case, there was a delay in discovering the change to a resuscitator bag equipped with a pop-off valve. Once the emergency physicians noticed the pop-off valve and closed them, there was significant improvement in ventilation and oxygenation.
Hand-operated resuscitator bags are an essential tool for airway management. These cases represent two main lessons: changing airway equipment without notifying staff is dangerous, and an open pop-off valve will result in inadequate ventilation when patients have high airway pressures, without the tactile feedback of difficult bagging. Emergency physicians should be aware of equipment changes and know to disable the pop-off valve on resuscitator bags if they find them in their departments.
La música popular ha funcionado en numerosas ocasiones como una herramienta para articular discursos y lanzar mensajes que desafían los valores de una sociedad. Más allá de repertorios musicales con ...un explícito mensaje político, existen numerosos ejemplos que desde el mainstream y a través de estrategias más sutiles envían mensajes que resultan subversivos y generan debates sobre convenciones que han sido normalizadas en nuestra cultura. En los últimos años, la proliferación de las redes sociales ha incrementado el papel de la música en las discusiones políticas, y el crecimiento del consumo musical audiovisual a través de YouTube y las redes sociales ha convertido a los videoclips en un soporte fundamental para dar forma a estos mensajes. En este artículo analizamos cómo se utiliza el espacio urbano en la música mainstream para articular discursos capaces de generar debate en la sociedad. Partimos de una concepción dual (física y simbólica) del espacio urbano para entenderlo como un constructo social cargado se significados, y abordamos su funcionamiento en la música popular estudiando casos recientes, como la representación de espacios e imaginarios religiosos en los videoclips mainstream.
