Globally, over one billion people experience some form of disability. The number of people with disabilities (PWDs) continues to rise due to an ageing population, the spread of chronic diseases, and ...improvements in measuring disabilities. However, tourism promotional materials continue to perpetuate a homogenous gaze catering to non-disabled audiences. Thus, informed by critical disability theory, and an inclusive tourism approach, this study explores how PWDs are represented in tourism promotional materials, specifically tourism brochures, from the American Southeast. Through a content analysis of over 200 county-level brochures from nine southeastern states and interviews with state-level tourism marketing directors, three emergent themes were identified: ADA compliant is 'good enough'; 'Diversity' means including more people of color or 'ethnic' groups; and Pets are welcomed but how about PWDs? The findings offer insights for inclusive tourism and breaking down the physical and psychological barriers that hinder PWD participation in travel and tourism.
•18.9 % of girls aged 9–17 years have received HPV vaccination in China.•Mothers’ less decisional conflict was a facilitator of HPV vaccination uptake.•Enhancing health promotion materials could ...increase HPV vaccination uptake.
China started to implement the HPV vaccination program for females in 2016. This study investigated associations between mothers’ decisional conflicts, satisfaction with governmental health promotion materials, and their daughters’ HPV vaccination uptake.
A cross-sectional online survey was conducted between July and October 2023 among mothers of girls aged 9–17 years in Shenzhen, China. Participants were mothers having a daughter aged 9–17 years at the survey date and a smartphone with internet access. About 3 % of all primary and secondary schools in Shenzhen were randomly selected by the research team (11 primary schools and 13 secondary schools). Teachers at the selected schools invited mothers of female students aged 9–17 years to complete an anonymous online questionnaire. Multivariate logistic regression was fitted.
Among 11,728 mothers who completed the survey, 18.9% of their index daughters received at least one dose of HPV vaccination. In multivariate analysis, less decisional conflict about the choice of HPV vaccines for their daughters (AOR: 1.07, 95%CI: 1.05, 1.10), more satisfaction with the government’s health promotional materials related to HPV vaccines (AOR: 1.15, 95%CI: 1.12, 1.19), receiving more cue to action from significant others (AOR: 1.23, 95%CI: 1.19, 1.27), and perceived higher self-efficacy related to HPV vaccines (AOR: 1.79, 95%CI: 1.67, 1.92) were associated with a higher uptake of HPV vaccines. Perceived susceptibility to HPV (AOR: 0.79, 95%CI: 0.74, 0.85), perceived barriers to having the index daughter receive HPV vaccines (AOR: 0.82, 95%CI: 0.80, 0.84), and mothers who were hesitant to receive HPV vaccination (AOR: 0.75, 95%CI: 0.68, 0.84) were associated with a lower uptake.
HPV vaccination uptake was low among girls in China. Future health promotion should address mothers’ decisional conflicts about the choice of HPV vaccines for their daughters and improve the health promotional materials. School-based HPV vaccination programs might be useful.

Regarding the design, one was a cross-sectional study and there were two descriptive studies, two methodological studies and one case study. The data were presented considering the following variables: type of material, means of dissemination, target audience, and theoretical framework of the educational materials. Conclusion the studies analyzed in this review presented several educational materials, such as elaboration of educational software, a Telenursing manual, an educational video to guide parents and an online forum. Therefore, these materials are useful as teaching and learning strategies for caregivers of children undergoing intermittent urethral catheterization.
Analisaram-se artigos das bases de dados: National Library of Medicine's,Cumulative Index to Nursing and Allied Health Literature, Scientific Electronic Library Online e SciVerse Scopus.

Pesticides have a major impact on the health of populations. Some examples of the consequences of their indiscriminate use: environmental and human contamination, hearing problems, the development of ...mental disorders, neurodegeneratives diseases, respiratory complications among others. From this perspective, this article aims to report the experience of the process of building an educational health resource for the health of rural workers. This article analyzes how rural provenance foods are portrayed by the promotional materials, websites and social media issued by urban specialty stores in Portugal. Even though provenance food may be ...defined in multiple ways as, among others, local, regional, traditional, and authentic, provenance is mostly about territories of origin: their biophysical characteristics, cultural values and practices of food production and preparation with socioeconomic and historical features. Interest in and consumption of rural provenance foods have increased in the last few decades and more recently have been accompanied by a growth of specialty food stores in urban contexts. To analyze these stores' role in promoting rural provenance foods, content analysis was conducted on 7489 text and image files, collected from the websites, social media pages and printed materials of 30 stores located in three Portuguese cities (Aveiro, Lisbon and Porto). Data shows that the role of these stores is not limited to the commercialization of food products, but is also key in the promotion and dissemination of their physical, sensorial and symbolic features as well as of the material and immaterial characteristics of their places of origin at local, regional and national scales.

This study aimed to describe and analyze the process of elaborating educational material to promote the development of preterm infants. The procedures included participative exploratory research with ...the target audience, integrative reviews of the literature on the subject, and systematization of contents through robust theoretical references. Popular Education in Health guided the elaboration of the educational material, and the participatory approach; the Bioecological Theory of Human Development conducted the analysis and systematization of the contents; and Simply Put guided the graphic organization of the material. The theoretical model of the development of preterm infants, and data systematization and organization, allowed the elaboration of an interactive educational material, a technology in a book format for the family. The multiple research strategies and theoretical references have provided methodological rigor, increasing the educational material's action potential, which draws family experience closer to the updated scientific knowledge, thus enhancing child health promotion.
