Diabetes mellitus is a metabolic syndrome disease caused by increased glucose in the blood. Diabetes mellitus can lead to complications into other diseases if you don't get good care and ...self-management. Family support is an important aspect in improving quality of life and reducing blood glucose values. This community service aims to monitor the role of the family as an effort to reduce diabetes mellitus. The method used in this community service is by conducting demonstration counseling and distributing leaflets to patients and patient families as well as interactive discussions in order to provide opportunities for patients and evaluate the success of community service. The conclusion from this activity included that patients and their families could increase knowledge about the role of the family while suffering from diabetes mellitus with a significance of p <0.05 and satisfaction for participating in activities again strongly agreed 77.5% and agreed 22.5%.
El objetivo general de la presente investigación fue describir el rol de la familia en primera infancia. El presente trabajo investigativo se desarrolló desde un enfoque cuantitativo con una ...metodología descriptiva con diseño no experimental, la cual se apoyó en el análisis documental–bibliográfico. Se organizó un proceso investigativo en donde la población de estudio, se basó primordialmente en documentos escritos como tesis, revistas arbitradas y artículos científicos, para indagar los escritos y construir conclusiones que ayudaron en la generación de nuevos conocimientos. Se concluye que, la constitución de la familia como base de la sociedad es de suma importancia para las naciones del mundo, ya que establecen las normas y reglas desde la conformación primaria de la colectividad, en donde los niños y padres de familia crean los lazos necesarios para la vinculación y fortalecimiento de los valores, desde la primera infancia y se fortalezca día a día.

Die enge Widerspruchslösung in Österreich erlaubt eine postmortale Organspende bei fehlendem Widerspruch zu Lebzeiten, da von einer mutmaßlichen Zustimmung ausgegangen wird. Liegt ...kein Eintrag im Widerspruchsregister vor, wird die Familie zum mutmaßlichen Willen der verstorbenen Person befragt.
Um die praktische Umsetzung der Widerspruchslösung in Österreich zu beschreiben, sollen relevante Aspekte der Angehörigengespräche und die Rolle der Familie im Entscheidungsprozess zur postmortalen Organspende identifiziert werden.
Es wurden insgesamt zehn leitfadengestützte Expert:inneninterviews mit Ärzt:innen und Pflegepersonen an einer österreichischen Krankenanstalt durchgeführt, die mithilfe der qualitativen Inhaltsanalyse nach Mayring unter Anwendung von MAXQDA ausgewertet wurden.
Herausforderungen beim Ermitteln des mutmaßlichen Patient:innenwillens im Angehörigengespräch können aufgrund von unterschiedlichen Kulturen/Religionen, Uneinigkeit und Entscheidungsunfähigkeit in der Familie aufgrund von Trauer und der Schwierigkeit der Angehörigen, das Hirntodkonzept zu begreifen, entstehen. Daher ist eine gute Vorbereitung, ausreichend Zeit, interdisziplinäre Zusammenarbeit, das Schaffen von Vertrauen und professionelle Gesprächsführung sowie das Eingehen auf Fragen und Bedürfnisse von Angehörigen durch Ärzt:innen und Pflegepersonen in einem geeigneten Setting notwendig. Die Kommunikation mit Angehörigen bezüglich einer postmortalen Organspende ist sowohl für das Gesundheitspersonal als auch die Familie belastend.
Anhand der Ergebnisse wird die Anwendung des Kommunikationsleitfadens der Gesundheit Österreich mit Erweiterung um die Information zur Gesetzeslage sowie regelmäßige Kommunikationsschulungen des Gesundheitspersonals empfohlen. Zudem wird eine flächendeckende Information der Bevölkerung zur Förderung der intrafamiliären Diskussion gefordert.
Implementation of the United Nations Convention on the rights of persons with disabilities (UN CRPD) requires countries to harmonise their legislative frameworks with it. This paper investigates the ...national legislative frameworks of four Asian countries to see the extent to which they provide support services in accordance with Article 19 of the UN CRPD. The UN CRPD requires persons with disabilities to have access to and choice and control over support services. To analyse the policy alignment with the UN CRPD, an analytical framework based on the Capability Approach (CA) was developed. The results show that most countries address support services, including assistive devices, only from the perspective of a social security measure for persons with disabilities living in poverty, failing to uphold the rights of those not meeting those eligibility criteria. However, while support services are inseparably linked to social security, they also are a right for persons with disabilities. Therefore, a paradigm shift is required in the approach of support services and the distributive systems of countries, from one that addresses persons with disabilities as those requiring care considered a burden, to one that considers them rights holders with equal opportunities, for which, support services are a pre-requisite.
Admission of a child to an educational organization is a difficult period for him. What should be considered when creating an educational environment at school and home? What determines successful ...adaptation of first-graders to new academic activities, which require from child certain knowledge about the world, good visual-motor coordination, possession of mental operations, planning skills and self-regulation of behavior, verbal communication, and the manifestation of volitional efforts to fulfill educational tasks? The successful adaptation of a child largely influences his further socialization. Modernization of education, aimed at ensuring its accessibility, individualization, and differentiation, creating conditions for achieving new contemporary quality of primary level of general education, leads to heterogeneity in the composition of pupils in terms of their psychophysical development. This complicates the adaptation of both first-graders with health limitations (HL) and children with regular development. Attracting intellectual and socio-cultural resources of the city in education, socialization, and adaptation of children with HL to new social conditions are becoming an urgent issue. The purpose of the research is to study the parental assessment of adaptation of a first-grader with HL to the educational organization in the urban environment. The authors of the article compiled a questionnaire for parents to determine the features of adaptation to the school life conditions of their children. The article presents the analysis results of the conducted survey. Research methods include quantitative assessment and qualitative analysis of the survey, as well as content analysis of relevant literature sources. The present research is caused by the insufficient theoretical study and practical development of issues related to the adaptation of first-graders with HL by parents.
Este artículo presenta la investigación realizada sobre el Logro de competencias durante el proceso de aprendizaje en los tiempos del COVID-19 en la Educación Básica peruana, la cual ha pasado de una ...modalidad presencial a una de distancia. Para la variable Logro de competencias se han considerado cuatro dimensiones: la cognitiva, la comunicativa, la social y la ética. Se desarrolló dentro del enfoque cuantitativo; su nivel fue descriptivo explicativo, de diseño no experimental, transaccional exploratorio, aplicándose una encuesta a 212 docentes de una red educativa de Lima Metropolitana. El objetivo fue analizar el factor predominante que limita el logro de las competencias priorizadas. Aplicando la regresión logística, desde la perspectiva de los docentes se logró determinar que la retroalimentación (0,589) y la evaluación del portafolio (0,694) son factores que limitan el logro de las competencias, pues muestran valores de significancia mayores que la teórica (α = 0,05), mientras que el rol de la familia (0,00) no limita este logro. El docente, siendo mediador del aprendizaje, debe fomentar el desarrollo de competencias. Factores como la retroalimentación y la evaluación del portafolio de evidencias deben tener significancia en sus estudiantes; pero en esta investigación son más bien factores que están limitando el logro de competencias.
(analítico)La revalorización experimentada por el ocio en los contextos familiares, debido a las restricciones sociales que han conllevado un incremento del tiempo en casa, ha contribuido a que esta ...emerja con fuerza como línea de investigación educativa, pues hasta ahora se encontraba desatendida en el panorama español. En el presente estudio se diseña y valida el Cuestionario sobre ocio familiar durante el confinamiento. Para dotar de validez de contenido y consistencia al constructo, se contó con el juicio de 10 expertos sobre la claridad, pertinencia y adecuación del instrumento, mediante una escala de validación. Los resultados denotan que el cuestionario resultante (61 ítems) posee propiedades psicométricas adecuadas que lo convierten en una herramienta apropiada para evaluar el ocio familiar, quedando confirmado su rigor y valía como correcto instrumento de análisis.

We analyze the way children and youngsters perceive the role of family in the use and acquisition of the heritage language (HL), through two complementary means: drawings produced by children and ...students participating in a discussion forum. Our study reveals: (1) the convergence of perceptions that children and adolescents have about family involvement and its roles in the maintenance of the HL, in terms of affective, cognitive, and interactional support; and (2) the affective, cognitive, and interactional scaffolding family provides for HL development. The analysis guides the proposition of several means of fostering the family's engagement in HL education, going beyond traditional roles and encouraging participative and deliberative actions within the curriculum, the programs, and the classroom.
This article purports to advance the literature on the impact of presumed consent laws on deceased donation rates by examining the interactions between a presumed consent legal regime and other ...customs and institutions, using data on health expenditure, death rates caused by cerebro vascular diseases, motor vehicle accidents and homicides, legislation, legal systems, family consent, civil rights and liberties and donor registry systems, for 24 countries over a 14-year period. Countries in which presumed consent is enacted exhibit significantly higher donation rates only if family consent is routinely sought and a combined registry is maintained or neither practice is administered. Otherwise, presumed consent legislation does not have a sizeable impact on deceased donation rates.
