It is possible to argue that literary works have had vital importance in people’s lives throughout the ages. Subjectivity is thought to be the determining factor in these works since their nature ...consists of fiction. Based on this approach, the idea that it is difficult to reach objective or scientific inferences through fictional texts is emphasized, and it is highlighted that these texts may have problems in terms of reliability in reflecting social reality. In the context of this idea, it is argued that it is not possible for the fictional texts to be included in the rational epistemology of the sciences since they include too much subjective feelings and fictive images. In this study, while the backbone of the fiction-reality distinction which forms the basis of this idea is discussed, the problematic aspects of making this kind of sharp distinction are pointed out. In this respect, the novel as a literary genre is determined as the starting point in terms of exemplifying fictional texts. Therefore, starting from the novel, the possibilities of reaching social reality through fictional texts are tried to be investigated by referring to the concepts, perspectivism and relativism.

This essay attempts to define “the new” as a poetological term. The new is discussed in relation to Stefan Morawski’s seminal study Perypetie problematyki nowości w dziejach myśli estetycznej The ...history of the new in the history of aesthetic thought, the so-called quarrel of the Ancients and the Moderns, and selected approaches to the concept in relation to avant-garde art.
The Arabian Nights were passed orally for long eras, long before they were written down; the collective sense, through several anonymous narrators, developed them: changing, modifying, omitting and ...adding to this oral discourse. All for the purpose of entertaining the public according the spirit of the age and the socio-cultural contexts, afterwards, it was recorded in different versions, as diverse as their sources, up until the landmark version, namely the one printed in Bulak, Egypt in 1835.The West is to be commended on paying attention to the significance of The Arabian Nights, academically and creatively, before its original-home, especially since it was later translated to many languages. After French orientalist Antoine Galland (1646 - 1715) translated into French between 1704 and 1713 a third of the manuscript he had brought from the Orient.This study delves into “The Impact of The Arabian Nights on Modern Egyptian Narration”. The researcher tries to point out how Egyptian writers were inspired by the classic text by examining Naguib Mahfouz's Arabian Nights and Days (Layālī alf laylah) as a case study. An analytic, text-based approach was used to detect the intertextual interaction between the classic and the modern, and to explore how classical elements and connotations were employed within the modern text.
The issue under discussion concerns the methodological issues pertaining to the cognitive and scientific values of an entry in a dialect dictionary, viewed from the point of view of practical ...usefulness of dialectal, regional and local dictionaries and their practicality in a dialogue between generations and in the region’s promotion. The essence of the dictionary entry is the number and arrangement of its components, their representativeness and ability to exert influence; the dictionary contains also maps and illustrations, until recently reserved for other kinds of publications. In general, maps and illustrations should be part of an entry, providing geographic information, allowing at the same time to locate a lexeme in a region’s dialect structure and to arrive at its multifaceted visualisations. Keeping in mind its practicality, an entry should be provided with contextual information, using standardised and uniform spelling; it should also include the phonetic, morphological and syntactic peculiarities of a regional dialect. The qualifiers should point to the socially-determined status of a lexeme and form the basis for an entry’s interpretation in its chronological, social, cultural and civilisation-related dimensions.
