This research aims to know the effect of the Covid-19 pandemic on sports activities of village residents of Suka Negeri at the age of 17-25 years. This research was conducted in Suka Negeri village ...in Lebong district. With this the type of research used is qualitative and the design used is a narrative design to describe the lives of individuals, collect and tell information about the lives of individuals, and report narrative about their experiences. The population in this study amounted to 60 people, the sampling in this study was carried out by purposive sampling technique, which is a sampling technique based on certain criteria or with certain judgments. The data collection technique in this study is to use a questionnaire. The questionnaire was used to obtain data about the effect of Covid 19 on sports activities among residents of the Village of Suka Negeri, Lebong Regency, ages 17 to 25 years. In the analysis of the questionnaire data, the calculation results obtained show that the number of residents who carry out sports activities with high intensity is 36 people or 60%, while the number of residents who carry out sports activities with moderate intensity is 17 people or 28%, while the number of residents who carry out activities low exercise is as much as 7 people or 12%. Then the analysis of the questionnaire data shows that there is an influence of Covid 19 on sports activities in Suka Negeri Village residents, this can be seen from the number of Suka Negeri villagers who do the most sports activities, namely at very high intervals.
In sports activities, the knowledge of mental characteristics, character traits or the level of individual sensory and cognitive processes, have become decisive factors of sports performance. The ...many transformations suffered by individuals during puberty, age, physical changes or social context can affect self-perception. The aim of this paper is to highlight the relationship between self-esteem and the practice or non-practice of an organized sports activity, among children in puberty. We assume that practicing an organized sports activity can influence the values of self-esteem among children in puberty.In the present paper they were evaluated 160 subjects, boys (N=57) and girls (N=103), aged 11-14, practitioners (N= 140, rugby= 20, football= 20, basketball= 20, volleyball= 20, martial arts= 20, dance= 20, tennis= 20) and non-practitioners (N= 20) of sports activities. To assess self-esteem, we applied the ASSI questionnaire (2007) standardized on the Romanian population, which also targeted the close poles of this dimension, self-depreciation and infatuation. Interpretations of individual questionnaire results were generated by the PsihoProfile platform, entered into the database and statistically analyzed using the program IBM SPSS Statistics20. The obtained results highlight statistical differences between practicing and non-practicing subjects of organized sportive activities, but also differences between the types of activities and the gender of the subjects. Therefore, practicing sports activities in an organized setting can positively influence the values of self-esteem among children in puberty.
This study aimed to investigate the differences in cerebral cortex activation during a static balance task between sporting and non-sporting groups using functional near-infrared spectroscopy ...(fNIRS). The Clinical Test of Sensory Interaction on Balance (CTSIB) was employed to assess balance performance in both groups.
The study involved 70 participants, assigned into 2 equal groups; the sporting (N = 35) and non sporting (N = 35) group. Hemodynamic changes measured as oxyhemoglobin (oxy-Hb) and deoxyhemoglobin (deoxy-Hb) concentrations, were recorded using a portable fNIRS system.
The results revealed significant differences in CTSIB scores between the sporting and non-sporting groups in five out of the six balance conditions. The sporting group showed superior balance performance compared to the non-sporting group. The fNIRS data showed activation patterns in various regions of interest (ROIs), including the occipito-parietal, prefrontal, and temporo-parietal regions. Differences in activation between the two groups were observed in the occipito-parietal and prefrontal cortex regions, indicating distinct neural responses during the balance task.
These findings suggest that regular participation in sports activities may contribute to improved balance control and associated changes in cerebral cortex activation. The activation patterns observed in different cortical areas provide valuable insights into the neural mechanisms underlying static balance and the potential effects of sporting activities on balance control. The research findings offer insights for targeted interventions aimed at improving balance in both athletes and non-athletes. These interventions have the potential to reduce the risk of falls and enhance overall physical performance, benefiting a diverse range of individuals.

BACKGROUNDThis meta-analysis aimed to assess the impact of aerobic exercise on the balance and mobility of visually impaired individuals and identify potential factors affecting these ...outcomes.METHODSA systematic review was conducted following PRISMA guidelines. The eligibility criteria for the study included visual impairment in the participant population, type of visual impairment, aerobic exercise intervention, controlled trials, age, design, and outcomes. Data were extracted based on these seven questions, and a narrative synthesis approach was employed for analysis. A comprehensive search of the database yielded 1987 articles, and ultimately, 14 randomized controlled trials involving 685 participants were selected for inclusion.RESULTSThe study findings indicate that aerobic exercise can greatly enhance the static balance ability SMD = 1.23, 95%CI 0.80-1.66, p < 0.00001 and dynamic balance ability SMD = 1.04, 95% CI 0.09-1.99, p = 0.03 of individuals with visual impairment. However, it appeared that mobility did not exhibit significant improvement SMD = -0.49, 95% CI -1.06 to 0.09, p = 0.10. Through subgroup analysis, it was found that exercise frequency, age, and degree of visual impairment significantly affect static balance.CONCLUSIONSEngaging in aerobic exercise 3-6 times per week, with each session lasting between 30 and 60 min, and continuing for a cycle of 8-16 weeks has been shown to enhance both dynamic and static balance in individuals with visual impairments.
The current research aimed to: 1. Setting a scale of organizational change in sports activities divisions in the Iraqi public universities. 2. Identifying the level of organizational change required ...to improve the performance and services of the sports activities divisions in public universities in terme of the point of its sports. The descriptive approach was used by the survey method, and the two samples of construction and final application included (102,157) sports staffs working in the sports activities divisions in Iraqi governmental universities, and to obtain data, a measure of organizational change was constructed, including the areas of (technological change, change in human resources, change in activities and tasks, and change work systems, change in policies and rules, change in organizational structure, change in objectives and strategies) and the researchers applied it after the availability of scientific conditions in it, and the data were statistically processed through the arithmetic mean, percentage, simple correlation and T-test for two samples. The researchers concluded the following: 1- Reaching the scale of organizational change in the sports activities divisions of the Iraqi public universities with its effectiveness on the scale. The Iraqi government universities. 2- The staffs of sports activities division in public universities have a very high desire for organizational change with the following indicators identified: A- Having a very high desire in the areas of change (technology, human resources, activities and tasks, work systems, policies and rules, organizational structure, goals and strategies) and recommended several recommendations, the most important of which are: B- Applying the organizational change scale to other samples such as the specialized educational supervision departments (sports education) and youth and sports forums.
This study aimed to clarify the structure and characteristics of coaching concepts held by Japanese high school baseball coaches through multivariate analysis. After conducting a preliminary survey ...using an open-ended questionnaire, a selective questionnaire survey was conducted among 415 Japanese high school baseball coaches, and an exploratory factor analysis was conducted. We found that their coaching concept could be assessed based on three factors. These factors were “Social Literacy,” “Pride in Kokoyakyu (=Japanese high school baseball),” and “Baseball Literacy.” The scale developed in this study had a certain degree of reliability and validity and made it possible to understand the coaching concept of Japanese high school baseball coaches. The Kokoyakyu coaches’ coaching concept could also be classified into five types and this distribution tended to vary depending on the coaches’ attributes and coaching environment. Overall, the results of this study suggest that Kokoyakyu coaches are successfully using the “Koshien taikai ” (Japanese High School Baseball Championship) in their coaching. Moreover, the Kokoyakyu coaches’ coaching concept can be understood as having been formed and established both by the Kokoyakyu system, which is developed within the unique historical and cultural context of Japan, and the social gaze directed at Kokoyakyu itself. In particular, the “Pride in Kokoyakyu” coaching concept suggests the existence of some sense of “tradition.”
