Problematyka artykułu skupia się wokół zagadnienia awataryzacji w kontekście transhumanistycznej koncepcji cyberimmortalizmu. Awataryzacja jest omawiana jako proces uobecniania się człowieka pod ...postacią cyfrową, czego ostatecznym etapem ma być – według niektórych transhumanistów i futurystów – wyłonienie się cyfrowego post-człowieka. Celem artykułu jest charakterystyka cyberimmortalizmu na tle innych transhumanistycznych nurtów oraz omówienie wyzwań związanych z ideą transferu umysłu (antropologicznych, metafizycznych oraz społecznych).
This article begins with a historiographical incursion into the baroque
philosophies of G. W. Leibniz and Baltasar Gracián, mediated by Gilles Deleuze’s
studies on the Baroque and the concept of ...«fold». From there, I will try to offer a
critical evaluation of the controversial cultural phenomenon that is contemporary
transhumanism, guided by the thesis according to which the idiosyncratic features
of 17th century’s thought and life («baroque ethos») survive in our days in the form
of a Neo-Baroque. Specifically, I will show that: i) our epoch is strongly conditioned
by a context of cultural crisis in which a cultural movement —transhumanism—
tries to save an ideal, which is no longer theological as in the classical Baroque but
anthropological; ii) the operative function proper to this contemporary Neo-Baroque
is the «over-fold», which allows us to take charge of the unavoidable technological
component that anthropology currently presents
El presente artículo parte de una incursión historiográfica en las filosofías barrocas de G. W. Leibniz y Baltasar Gracián, mediada por los estudios de Gilles Deleuze sobre el Barroco y el concepto de «pliegue». A partir de ahí, se tratará de ofrecer una evaluación crítica del controvertido fenómeno cultural que es el transhumanismo contemporáneo, guiada por la tesis según la cual los rasgos idiosincrásicos del pensamiento y la vida en el siglo XVII («ethos barroco») perviven en nuestros días bajo la forma de un Neobarroco. Concretamente, mostraremos que: i) nuestra época está fuertemente condicionada por un contexto de crisis cultural en el que un movimiento —el transhumanismo— trata de salvar un ideal, que no es ya teológico como en el Barroco clásico, sino antropológico; ii) la función operatoria propia de este Neobarroco contemporáneo es el «sobrepliegue», que permite hacerse cargo de la insoslayable componente tecnológica que presenta actualmente la antropología.
As we come to increasingly rely on robotic and Artificial Intelligence technologies, there are a growing number of ethical concerns to be considered by both service providers and consumers. This ...review concentrates on five such issues: (1) ubiquitous surveillance, (2) social engineering, (3) military robots, (4) sex robots, and (5) transhumanism. With the partial exception of transhumanism, all of these areas of AI and robotic service interaction already present ethical issues in practice. But all five areas will raise additional concerns in the future as these technologies develop further. These issues have serious consequences and it is imperative to research and address them now. I outline the relevant literatures that can guide this research. The paper fills a gap in recent work on AI and robotics in services. It expands views of service contexts involving robotics and AI, with important implications for public policy and applications of service technologies.

Therefore, it is imperative to think about future social imaginaries in order to forecast the possible courses of future social reality. According to above, the objective of formulating a social imaginary with a horizon in the year 2133, a year established under a historical review of the changes in some types of societies, among them: pre-industrial, industrial and post-modern. For this article we have used a method that incorporates the use of documentary analysis and the hermeneutic tool in order to understand and interpretate; based on the review of documentary evidence and contributions of transcomplexity and transhumanism.
La humanidad ha realizado esfuerzos para concebir esquemas cognitivos orientados a explicar los permanentes giros sociales, una actividad intelectual urgente por lo compleja que se ha tornado la vida social. Dichos esfuerzos son necesarios para superar el caos y la incertidumbre que se han posicionado como rasgos propios del arquetipo social posmoderno. Por lo tanto, es imperativo pensar imaginarios sociales futuros para pronosticar los posibles cursos de la realidad social del porvenir. En virtud de lo anterior, se ha planteado el objetivo de formular un imaginario social con horizonte en el año 2133, año establecido con base en una revisión histórica de los cambios en algunos tipos de sociedades, entre ellas destacan: la preindustrial, la industrial y la posmoderna. Para este artículo se ha utilizado una metódica que incorpora el uso del análisis documental y del recurso hermenéutico para la comprensión y de la interpretación. Se basó en la revisión de evidencias documentales y aportes de la transcomplejidad y el transhumanismo.
Mind upload, making a digital copy of one's brain, is a part of the transhumanistic dream of eternal life and the end of suffering. It is also perceived as a viable route toward artificial general ...intelligence (AGI). However, AI safety research has alerted to one major risk in creating AGI by mind upload: namely, that mind upload technology could appeal primarily to callous and selfish individuals who then abuse this technology for their personal gain—and, potentially, at a considerable cost to the welfare of humankind. Therefore, it is important to understand whether people's acceptance of mind upload is associated with pathological and/or antisocial traits. To this end, the present research examined whether individual differences in Dark Triad traits predict attitudes toward mind upload in a sample of 1007 English-speaking adults. A pre-registered structural equation model revealed that Machiavellianism (but not psychopathy) was associated with favorable views about mind upload, both directly and indirectly through utilitarian moral attitudes. These results therefore substantiate the concerns voiced by AI safety researchers—namely, that mind upload technology could be adopted disproportionately by individuals with an antisocial personality.
•Dark Triad traits (especially Machiavellianism) underlie support for mind uploading.•Machiavellians' approval is partly explained via elevated utilitarian tendencies.•Our evidence supports concerns about antisocial uses of artificial general intelligence (AGI).
El propósito del presente artículo es mostrar en qué medida el proyecto transhumanista de optimización humana, cuyo contenido manifiesto incide ante todo en la ambición, a priori legítima, de ...perfeccionarse a uno mismo, entronca en realidad —a la vez que prolonga— con el programa neoliberal de dar a luz al hombre nuevo, más capacitado para adaptarse al entorno competitivo, que el capitalismo postfordista viene construyendo desde hace más de cuatro décadas.
El derecho a la igualdad jurídica cobra relevancia en el contexto de la manipulación genética, ya que la capacidad de diseñar seres humanos con características específicas plantea inquietudes ...significativas. En particular, existe el riesgo de socavar la diversidad genética y el principio fundamental de igualdad ante la ley. Además, la brecha que podría surgir entre aquellos con recursos para costear estas mejoras genéticas y quienes no puedan hacerlo, amenaza con agravar las disparidades económicas. Uno de los pilares de las sociedades democráticas, la movilidad social, se ve amenazado por las ventajas insuperables que disfrutarían los individuos nacidos con modificaciones genéticas avanzadas, por lo que esta situación podría conducir a una consolidación de las clases sociales, y erosionar la meritocracia que sustenta gran parte de nuestras estructuras sociales. Este estudio aborda la preocupación de que estas tendencias puedan desembocar en una sociedad dividida, donde las élites genéticamente mejoradas perpetúen su estatus y las estructuras de poder asuman un cariz feudal, destacándose ante este hipotético riesgo, la imperiosa necesidad de un marco legal robusto que no solo proteja los derechos humanos, sino que también evite la creación de desigualdades insalvables por la manipulación genética.
Sammendrag I denne artikkelen analyserer jeg populærkulturelle fenomen og transhumanistiske prosjekt som på ulike måter belyser utviklingen av den amerikanske familien. Amerikansk slektskap, slik ...Schneider (1968/80) analyserte det, består av to viktige, men ikke likestilte, «ordener»; naturen og jussen. Den første, som handler om «blodsrelasjoner» (foreldre-barn) er overordnet den andre, som handler om ekteskapet, ifølge Schneider. Min etnografi viser at vi må legge til en tredje «orden» som Schneider kun antyder. Denne «ordenen» reflekterer det Eva Illouz i sin analyse av det romantiske kjærlighetsbegrepet, har kalt «det affektive individet». Jeg kaller det en «emosjonell orden». For å forstå hvorfor og hvordan den kulturelle verdien knyttet til den amerikanske familien er så levedyktig, og det eneste som holdes konstant i ekstreme fremtidsforstillinger, så er det nettopp den kulturelle verdien av familien som en følelsesmessig enhet vi må forstå (mer enn blodsrelasjonen og ekteskapet som en juridisk institusjon). Den emosjonelle orden viser seg spesielt i parforholdet (det Schneider kaller conjugal love) og er av sentral betydning for fremtidsforestillinger om det nye menneske slik det er fremstilt i det transhumanistiske utviklingsprosjektet Bina48. Sammenligningen av amerikansk populærkultur og transhumanistiske fremtidsprosjekt viser også at det ikke bare er blodsbåndet som er viktig for «naturens orden», men også døden. Familien som en varig og konstant verdi får betydning nettopp i kontekst av den individuelle død.
