Mixed pixels are the main reason for the low accuracy of traditional remote sensing applications. Hyperspectral image unmixing can explore the sub-pixel information of mixed pixels, which is an ...effective measure to solve the problems of low precision. Current unmixing methods only consider the correlation of local or global pixels and do not fully utilize images information. Based on the above problems, we proposed a novel sparse unmixing model named combining low-rank constrain for similar superpixels and total variation sparse unmixing (CLRSS-TV) in this current research paper. The adjacent similar pixels are clustered first into superpixels, then the superpixels with the same semantic information are merged into a collection. The spatial information of the image is fully considered by twice clustering. Weighted low-rank constraint is imposed on each collection to consider the spectral correlation of pixels. Moreover, the TV regularization and l

norm are utilized to improve the smoothness and row sparsity, respectively. Experimental results reveal that the proposed method is not only competitive with the four state-of-the-art algorithms in simulated and actual datasets, but also has good anti-noise ability and universality. However, this paper still fails to overcome the problem of parameters selection in sparse unmixing, so the future work study intends to adopt the intelligent optimization algorithm to obtain the optimal parameters.
Objectives To examine whether the introduction of intermittent standing bouts during the workday using a height-adjustable workstation can improve subjective levels of fatigue, musculoskeletal ...discomfort and work productivity relative to seated work. Methods Overweight/obese office workers (n=23; age 48.2±7.9 years, body mass index 29.6±4 kg/m2) undertook two, 5-day experimental conditions in an equal, randomised (1:1) order. In a simulated office environment, participants performed their usual occupational tasks for 8 h/day in a: seated work posture (SIT condition); or interchanging between a standing and seated work posture every 30 min using an electric, height-adjustable workstation (STAND-SIT condition). Self-administered questionnaires measuring fatigue, musculoskeletal discomfort and work productivity were performed on day 5 of each experimental condition. Results Participants’ total fatigue score was significantly higher during the SIT condition (mean 67.8 (95% CI 58.8 to 76.7)) compared with the STAND-SIT condition (52.7 (43.8 to 61.5); p<0.001). Lower back musculoskeletal discomfort was significantly reduced during the STAND-SIT condition compared with the SIT condition (31.8% reduction; p=0.03). Despite concentration/focus being significantly higher during the SIT condition (p=0.006), there was a trend towards improved overall work productivity in favour of the STAND-SIT condition (p=0.053). Conclusions Transitioning from a seated to a standing work posture every 30 min across the workday, relative to seated work, led to a significant reduction in fatigue levels and lower back discomfort in overweight/obese office workers, while maintaining work productivity. Future investigations should be directed at understanding whether sustained use of height-adjustable workstations promote concentration and productivity at work. This work studies the problem of neighbor discovery for device-to-device (D2D) communications of LTE user equipments (UEs) in a modern cellular network. By listening to cellular uplink transmissions, ...UEs can detect potential D2D partners through a neighbor discovery process compatible with the standard LTE network protocol. We focus on neighbor discovery utilizing sounding reference signal (SRS) channel, which can be accessed by peer UEs that are LTE-compliant. Under the constraint of unknown channel statistics during uplink hearing, we propose joint neighbor detection and D2D channel estimation for listening UEs using the framework of sparse channel recovery. Composite hypothesis testing methods are further developed to refine neighbor detection accuracy. We evaluate the performance of our neighbor discovery methods under various network parameters to facilitate practical design and implementation of D2D in 4G cellular networks.
This work studies the relation between gas-phase oxygen abundance and stellar-to-gas fraction in nearby galaxies. We first derive the theoretical prediction, and argue that this relation is ...fundamental, in the sense that it must be verified regardless of the details of the gas accretion and star formation histories. Moreover, it should hold on ‘local’ scales, i.e. in regions of the order of 1 kpc. These predictions are then compared with a set of spectroscopic observations, including both integrated and resolved data. Although the results depend somewhat on the adopted metallicity calibration, observed galaxies are consistent with the predicted relation, imposing tight constraints on the mass-loading factor of (enriched) galactic winds. The proposed parametrization of the star fraction–metallicity relation is able to describe the observed dependence of the oxygen abundance on gas mass at fixed stellar mass. However, the ‘local’ mass–metallicity relation also depends on the relation between stellar and gas surface densities.
It is important for individuals to manage the boundaries between their different roles as this affects their personal functioning and wellbeing. Little is known, however, about how students manage ...their role boundaries between work and study. We tested a work-study boundary congruence model, in which student boundary congruence (i.e. the correspondence between students' boundary preferences and their boundary constraints) was associated with study engagement and wellbeing, and these associations were mediated by student recovery resources (i.e. work-study detachment and general self-efficacy). Hypotheses were tested using data from 402 tertiary students (mean age 20.1 years) who were working while studying. Higher boundary congruence was related to better wellbeing and more study engagement, and work-study detachment and general self-efficacy fully mediated the associations between congruence and the two outcomes. Meaningful variance was explained in both engagement (33.5%) and wellbeing (29.8%). The study demonstrated that recovery resources can enhance the positive impact of boundary congruence on wellbeing and study engagement. Thus, when considering how to improve outcomes for students who have difficulty maintaining a good balance between work and study, professionals who work with students should consider increasing recovery resources.
This work studies a predictive networked control scheme in which packets containing optimizing sequences of control inputs are sent over an unreliable communication network affected by data-loss. We ...show that, provided the number of consecutive packet losses is bounded, input-to-state stability can be ensured by appropriate choice of design parameters. Our results apply to the general case of constrained nonlinear plants which are affected by uncertain and unmeasured disturbances.
Abstract
Age related macular degeneration (AMD) is a common retina-related disease leading to blindness. Little is known on the origin of the disease, but it is well documented that oxidative stress ...generated in the retinal pigment epithelium and choroid neovascularization are closely involved. The study of circulating miRNAs is opening new possibilities in terms of diagnosis and therapeutics. miRNAs can travel associated to lipoproteins or inside small Extracellular Vesicles (sEVs). A number of reports indicate a significant deregulation of circulating miRNAs in AMD and experimental approaches, but it is unclear whether sEVs present a significant miRNA cargo. The present work studies miRNA expression changes in sEVs released from ARPE-19 cells under oxidative conditions (i.e. hydrogen peroxide, H

This paper, based on data collected from questionnaires distributed among German students and from interviews with university professors and contacts in cooperating companies in both Germany and ...China, evaluates dual studies in Germany and their applicability to China. The study finds that most students are satisfied with the theory phase and the practical phase. Practical experience and grants from companies are mentioned as important advantages of dual studies. In addition, expert interviews carried out in Germany show that students acquire both professional knowledge and occupational skills in the course of their dual studies. Interviews with Chinese experts point to the fact that the German model of dual studies could be applicable to China. Therefore, dual studies at Chinese application-oriented universities which interlink theory with practice and offer both a Bachelor's degree and a professional qualification in 3- to 4-year programmes could be an attractive alternative for Chinese students.
This work studies the equivalent transformation from a legal marking set to its admissible marking set. First, the concepts of escaping-marking set and transforming marking set are defined, and two ...algorithms are provided to compute the transforming marking set and the admissible marking set. Second, the equivalent transformation of a disjunction of linear constraints expressed in terms of generalized mutual exclusion constraints (GMECs) with non-negative weights via uncontrollable transitions is established.
