  • Utjecaj hranjive podloge na određivanje fungicidnog djelovanja peroctene kiseline = The influence of growth media on the determination of fungicidal activity of peracetic acid

    Before the disinfection of tanks and pipelines in breweries the residues of the production microorganisms Saccharomyces uvarum cells also have to be eliminated, because tha autolysis product can ... become nutriens for product spoilage microorganisms. In present work the influence of different growth media on number of survived yeast cells during the test of fungicidal activity of peracetic acid was studied. In suspension test at 25 C and contact times between 15 and 300 seconds the samples were inoculated parallel on malt extract and wort agar. The results are presented as surviving curves and kinetic parameters. The results show better growth of yeast cells on wort agar. It is reasonable to use wort instead of malt extract agar in practical tests of fungicidal activity, because the results are more reliable.
