    The effect of the temperature of the air in the production room was analyzed with respect to the temperature of the injection mold cavity. The cyclic heat addition due to material injection was ... modeled as a constant heat flux into the mold through the mold cavity surface. With a non-stationary numerical thermal analysis the time of mold temperature reaching a steady state was assessed. This allowed confirming that the surrounding air indeed has the potential to disturb the production process stability by shifting the mean mold cavity temperature in the order of 1 K should the room temperature shit for 10 K, as day/night or winter/summer changes might impose.
