  • Decision making process in virtual manufacturing regarding human resources [Elektronski vir]
Debevec, Mihael, 1976- ; Perme, Tomaž, 1963- ; Noe, Dragica
One of the core parts of virtual manufacturing system (VMS) is a Model of Human Resources (MHR) where also human's decision-making processes has to be modelled. A part of MHR is a Model of Decision ... Making Processes (MDMP) where every separate decision-point in manufacturing has to be modelled and all feasible decisions at that particular decision-point have to be considered. The tasks which have to be executed by human workers and operators in manufacturing are mostly defined with a technological plan and time schedule, but that is not enough for modelling of the decision-making processes. There are tasks and decisions that are executed and made by human operators in everyday manufacturing processes and that are not exactly defined or describedin any manufacturing documentation. The execution of these tasks and decisions depends mostly on knowledge, skills, and even intuition of every particular operator and worker. The problem is however to collect and model all these tasks and decisions. In the paper, the problems of virtual manufacturing regarding a decisionmaking process are pointed out and a possible solution for effective modelling of workerćs tasks and decisions thatappear in small and medium size tool-making companies is presented.
