  • Relationship between innovation and internationalization of Slovenian internationalized companies [Elektronski vir]

    Our purpose was to explore the relationship between two strategic directions, innovationand internationalization, based on a sample of 108 most internationalized Sloveniancompanies. We have tested ... with regression analysis the relationship between two factorsof innovation (product and process innovation) and the dependent variables ofinternationalization (qualitative and quantitative scope of internationalization: number ofoperation modes, number of foreign markets and share of foreign sales on foreignmarkets). The results indicated that all models consisted of product innovation andinternationalization (as dependent variable) have showed a statistical significance andcan be supported, while we cannot support neither one model for the relationshipbetween process innovation and internationalization. Our conclusions suggest thatproduct innovations are determinants of internationalization for Slovenianinternationalized companies, while process innovations, were not statistically significantbased on research conducted on Slovenian internationalized companies.
