  • Are we really alone together? : Reflections on sociality in contemporary society

    In comparison to previous social forms, the specificity of contemporary relationships and processes lies precisely in the intertwining and interdependence of the physical space and cyberspace, which ... is changing the organization of society from territory to network-based. In this sense, the traditional concepts of explaining social action, which only take into account territorial action and ignore network action, are nowadays inadequate and lead to erroneous conclusions, such as that the present society is extremely unsocial. The main purpose of the contribution is, therefore, to examine sociality inside contemporary social conditions. The latter means that it is necessary to take into account the fact that social dynamics take place both in physical space and cyberspace.
