  • Employee turnover and its effects on the quality of service offered in the hospitality industry

    The article's aim is to present the importance of the phenomenom of employee turnover within the hospitality industry, and most particularly its relation to the quality of service rendered, the study ... being limited to the Slovenian Coast. The introduction builds on the characteristic traits of the hospitalityand tourism industry, the quality of tourism service as well as itsdependency on employees being an integral part of the trade. The quality ofservice strongly depends on regular staff, a low level of service quality being associated with a higher level of employee turnover. Our intention is tohighlight the key factors to employee turnover in the hotel trade due to older and uneffective ways of managing human resources in the field of employment, development and promotion. Our study explains the essential role that human resources management plays in this context.
