The intergenerational program "Elderly with Children" is carried out from 2002 at a care home for the elderly in the city of Maó, Spain. All early childhood schools on the island have been invited to participate. The practitioner in charge of this initiative consisting of visits and learning activities around life experience, traditions and customs, describes in detail the main features of the program as well as how it has been planned and implemented. Obviously, program's achievements reach both the elderly people and the children. However, a not so obvious 'cluster effect' is described as the program has been able to reach out to teachers and families. The former have noticed the motivational impact that the elderly people's presence has on both children and teachers themselves, while the latter have become more aware of elderly people and how they should be included in the community. Recommendations for practice are presented for other practitioners to gain inspiration from this particular program.
