  • Chapter 7 - Reconstruction ...
    Marilyn T. Miller; Peter Massey

    The Crime Scene, 2016
    Book Chapter

Crime scene investigation is not just processing, documenting, searching, and collecting evidence from a scene. It includes the ability to determine what happened at the crime scene. This “view to the past” is not speculation but it is based on the scene, its evidence, reasoning skills, and experience of the investigator. Crime scene reconstruction is an important part of the total investigation. Certain types of evidence is especially well suited for reconstruction purposes.
