They meet with Sir Alfred Mond, First Commissioner of Works, Sir Martin Conway and Major ffoulkes of the Imperial War Museum in the foyer of the Museum galleries. The guests and staff assemble for a formal ceremony of dedication. Then the King and Queen are taken on a tour of the exhibits. Also present in the party are Winston Churchill as Secretary of State for War (seen very briefly), Surgeon-Commander Parkes of the Museum, and the Duke of Connaught (?).
