Kuzmin, who very well knew ancient literature reading Greek originals, was fascinated with Alexander the Great and his legend and in 1906 published his Alexandrian Songs (Александрийские песни). This novel, The Alexander the Great’s exploits (Подвиги Великого Александра), was based on different versions of the medieval Alexander romance.- Nemački prevod romana ruskog pesnika, romanopisca, prevodioca i kompozitora Mihaila Aleksejeviča Kuzmina (1872–1936), jednog od najznačajnijih imena ruskog Srebrnog veka, o delima Aleksandra Velikog. Kuzmin, koji je veoma dobro upoznao antičku književnost čitajući originale na grčkom, bio je oduševljen Aleksandrom Velikim i njogovom legendom i 1906. objavio je svoje Aleksandrijske pesme (Александрийские песни).
