    COBIB – Union bibliographic/catalogue database

    COBIB is a bibliographic/catalogue database, where libraries participating in the COBISS system enter their bibliographic records. It is the common catalogue of libraries.

    The search in COBIB enables searching in all catalogues of libraries and is the default database. After executing a search request you receive the search results, including the holdings data and material availability in libraries.

    By using the search prefixes you determine the search index you wish to search. Below is a list of search prefixes with their meaning and examples of use:

    List of search suffixes

    When searching in the basic index, i.e. word search, you can add search suffixes to the words in order to limit the word search to an individual search index. Below is a list of search suffixes with their meaning and examples of use:
