JCR – Impact factor (since 1994)

Journal Citation Reports (JCR) is a database published annually by Clarivate, USA, within the Web of Science service. It includes records with journal impact factor (JIF) data for more important journals published throughout the world. In the COBISS.SI system, data from 1994 onwards is available. The database is available only to users in the territory of Slovenia.

Contents

JCR is an important tool for journal evaluation on the basis of citation data, gathered from more the 8,400 internationally renowned scientific and professional journals. Impact factors are published annually in two editions: JCR Science Edition (JCR SE), which contains data from science and technology journals, and JCR Social Sciences Edition (JCR SSE), which includes data from social sciences journals.

In the COBISS.SI system, corrections, fewer than 1 promile, are integrated in the database; they refer to supplemented impact factor data and the creation of new records (e.g. record for serial subseries).
